Lotus Notes 8 - on Fedora 7 Linux
I told you a while ago about my attempts to get Notes 7 to work on Fedora 6, and the problems I had.
Well now things are a lot easier….. anyway if your using Fedora 7 and KDE which is what I’m using here at work. The install script works great once you’ve got Java installed correctly in Fedora.
And after that you just start it by clicking on the icon on your desktop and point to your *.id file as per usual with Notes.
In Notes 7 for Linux there was a lot of functionality left to be desired, but now they have really hit the nail on the head.
I’m working on setting up a Domino 8 server on CentOS 5……. I’ll get back to you on how that goes.
